If there is one must-see sight in Bangkok it is the dazing, spectacular Grand Palace, undoubtedly the city’s most famous landmark.

The Grand Palace is a complex of buildings in Bangkok. It served as the official residence of the king of Thailand from the 18th century onwards. Construction of the Palace began in 1782, during the reign of King Rama I, When he moved the capital across the river from Thonburi to Bangkok. The Palace has been constantly expanded and many additional structures were added over time.

Pass China Town or Yaowarat as it is known locally it is a sprawling, neon-lit enclave of tiny lanes, fabulous food and dramatic Chinese shrines.Pass the Flower Market or Pak Khlong Talet to explore the 24 hour flower market and the biggest wholesale market of all kinds of cut flowers.

 

09.00 Visit the Grand Palace and the Emerald Buddha, the highlight of Bangkok. Enjoy learning about the Thai People and their history, architecture, art, culture, customs, beliefs and religion.
11.00 Back to the car, on the way passing many magnificent temples and architectural buildings, Democracy Monoment, Ananta Samakhom Palace etc.

Visit Vimanmek Mansion, the world’s largest teakwood building which was originally built on the island of Koh Si Chang, in 1868, and then moved, piece by piece, to Bangkok for use by King Rama V. It consists of 81 rooms spread over three floors that are overlooked by a beautiful garden. Inside, many of the kings acquisitions from international trips are on display, including possibly the first bathtub in the kingdom, antique photographs and fine porcelain.
